BTS Management commercial opérationnel
The BTS MCO prepares students to take charge of all or part of a retail unit: a shop, a branch, a department or an online store. It covers customer relations and advisory selling, promoting and animating the offer, day-to-day operational management and leading the sales team, alongside the general subjects common to business BTS courses.

The programme
Curriculum
The national syllabus is built around four blocks of vocational skills:
- Customer relations and advisory selling : welcoming, advising, selling, building loyalty and following up customers.
- Promoting and animating the retail offer : laying out the space, showcasing products, running promotions and local communication.
- Operational management : managing supplies, stock, the budget and the results of the retail unit.
- Leading the sales team : recruiting, onboarding, organising the work, motivating and appraising the team.
General subjects complete the course: general studies and expression, a modern foreign language, and economic, legal and managerial culture.

Vocational bachelor's degree in retail, distribution or management, bachelor, university degree in economics and management, or a business school through parallel admission.
Admission
Open to holders of the French baccalauréat or an equivalent qualification. As the course is taken on a work-study basis, enrolment becomes effective once a contract is signed with a host company; the school sets out how to apply on its official website.
